Retail Pricing

The eHLbc Admin Centre requested retail pricing for several kinds of organization, in order to understand how much of a discount members are receiving through the Core Suite.

Vendors' retail pricing is based on numerous complex factors, beyond straightforward organization type and size that determines most eHLbc tiers. They factor in the types of programs offered at post-secondary institutions, research work done at the organization, clinical work, etc.

This means that there is no simple retail pricing model that vendors can share; retail prices are assessed individually, and require that the organization request a custom quotation.

However, we have obtained retail pricing for a sample set of organization types, based on what an organization would pay for the products outside the Core Suite. This pricing acknowledges the vendors' continuing relationship with eHLbc, and may be lower than what might be offered to external organizations.

The USD quotes below are not representative of a consortial opt-in model, as we would negotiate discounts for individual products, but are intended to give an approximation of the discounts libraries are currently receiving through the Core Suite model.
