Today marks an important milestone for BC and Yukon students, researchers, and health practitioners. Thanks to the collective efforts of eHLbc and its member organizations, more than 745,000 journals, eBooks, videos, and point‑of‑care tools will continue to be available to them via the Core Suite. The consortium has officially renewed this multi‑vendor bundle of essential electronic health resources for another four years, ensuring continuity of access and stable pricing throughout the 2026–2030 license term.

This renewal is a cause for celebration. It demonstrates how cooperation around achieving a shared goal yields incredible benefits for all involved. By licensing the Core Suite as a collective, BC’s and the Yukon’s health and post‑secondary sectors will save nearly 3 million dollars per year, while citizens benefit from knowing their current and future health practitioners have reliable access to high‑quality health resources. 

Thank you to all eHLbc member organizations for their work on the Core Suite renewal for the 2026-2030 term. Your thoughtful input, review of information, and participation in Question & Answer sessions have ensured continuity of access to crucial health information resources and subsidized, stable pricing for these resources over the next four years. Our shared efforts also reflect a belief in the resilience that arises through partnership; it is clear that members continue to recognize the strong value of a coordinated, collaborative approach to licensing. eHLbc looks forward to continuing collaborative work with our member organizations over the next four years!
