As the sole dedicated health library consortium serving organizations in British Columbia, e-HLbc negotiates consortial licenses for databases on behalf of partnering libraries. Licensing costs are shared among participating institutions. Through these activities, e-HLbc guarantees members cost-savings on a wide variety of library resources.

I teach G.P.s from around the province who become part of our FPON (Family Practice Oncology Network). Twice a year we have new students, and one of the things that I do is show them how to use the e-HLbc resources, as they are common to all B.C. health professionals. The doctors are grateful to know about the resources and they are really grateful to learn how to search them better.
