Canadian Virtual Health Library (CVHL)

About the Canadian Virtual Health Library

From CVHL's website: CVHL introduces equitable access to high-quality health information for Canadian health professionals, to improve health outcomes and patient safety for all Canadians. This initiative of the Canadian Health Libraries Association (CHLA) seeks to coordinate access to core health information delivery to Canada’s health professionals and researchers efficiently and more cost-efffectively.

CVHL is based on the infrastructure of existing networks and consortia on which its operations depend through national coordination efforts, generating cost savings and maximizing access for all Canadian health library users.

CVHL works with its partners to coordinate licensing and other library initiatives while maintaining each library or library consortia’s brand.

CVHL and e-HLbc

In December, 2011, the e-HLbc Steering Committee endorsed a recommendation to become a network subscriber to the CVHL.
